Extreme High Temperature Fabrics
Manufactured of texturized silica yarns, our base fabric withstands 2300°F continuous exposure and excursions to 3000°F.
Available in a Plain or Satin weave
PTFE Impregnation
PTFE Fluoropolymer Resin offers the advantages of a non-asbestos material with higher temperature range and with excellent reistance to almost all solvents, caustics and acids. Maximum temperature is 550F continuous.
Vermiculite Coated
The base fabric is coated with Vermiculite (100% inorganic dispersion) allowing it to withstand temperatures of 1500F with occasional use to 2000F. This is an excellent fabric for welding curtains and blankets, insulated sandwich covers and the manufacturing of gasketing. Vermiculite also adds abrasion resistance and stability to the base fabric.
Aluminized
Coated by pressure laminating Aluminum foil onto the base fabric, this is an excellent reflector of radiant heat. Aluminum melts at 1220F/660C, so for prolonged "heat soak" applications the aluminum will degrade and melt from the fabric, but to reflect radient heat for short durations this fabric is excellent. This material will withstand exposures up to 3000F/1650C for durations of a few minutes. Up to 94% of radiant energy is reflected.
